One entry per account. At least 30 days old and 100 followers.
Good instincts.
Clear rules.
Four picks. Five sessions. Hereβs what counts.
10β35% per pick. Exactly 100% total. All capital is virtual.
1β25: GTD. 26β50: FCFS. The NFT mint is separate.
Four weights.
One score.
Weighted return: +6.70% Β· $10,000 becomes $10,670
Each contribution = stock return Γ weight. The weights total 100%.01A place on the starting line
Connect your X account. One immutable X identity gets one entry. To keep the race fair, the account must be at least 30 days old and have at least 100 followers. No wallet or NFT is needed to compete.
02Four stocks. Your weights.
Choose four different stocks from 228 curated US equities. Set a whole-number weight from 10% to 35% for each; the four must add to exactly 100%. Each allocation is applied to the shared $10,000 virtual portfolio. No crypto, OTC, inverse or leveraged funds.
03How portfolio return is calculated
For each stock, multiply its start-to-close return by its portfolio weight. Add those four weighted contributions for your basket return. Changing weights changes both your dollar allocation and how strongly that stock moves your score. An optional wallet ticket boost of up to +2% then lifts the portfolio value (see Wallet ticket).
04Your picks become final
Selection opens Oct 12, 8:00 PM EDT and closes Oct 19, 9:25 AM EDT. You can replace picks before the deadline. After the lock, the server rejects every edit.
05Five market sessions
The race begins Oct 19, 9:30 AM EDT and ends Oct 23, 4:00 PM EDT. Results are published no earlier than Oct 23, 4:16 PM EDT, after all closing prices are verified. Official times use America/New_York (NYSE).
06A clear tie-break
Returns are normalized to 10 decimal places. Ties resolve by the strongest weighted stock contribution, then the second-strongest, then the earliest confirmation of the current basket. Editing resets your confirmation time. Entry ID resolves any remaining tie.
07If racers choose the same portfolio
Different eligible X accounts can choose the same stocks and weights. With the same wallet boost, their returns are identical, so the earlier confirmation of the current basket ranks first; Entry ID resolves an exact time tie. Each account still occupies its own rank and can earn its own mint access. Matching portfolios alone are not evidence of multiple accounts belonging to one person. There is no shared-strategy winner cap.
08NFT mint allocations Β· GTD and FCFS
Ranks 1β25 earn guaranteed Stray Society mint allocations (GTD). Ranks 26β50 earn first come, first served mint access (FCFS); availability is determined at the mint. These are mint-access rewards. The NFT mint takes place separately from this race. Live zones are provisional; final results decide the allocations. Ranks outside the top 50 earn no mint allocation.
09Follow racers, without revealing picks
Search by name or @handle and tap the outlined Stray mark in the Follow column. The mark fills orange when the racer is saved in your private Following list; tap it again to remove them. There is no five-racer limit, and Following has pages of 20 racers. The tab compares their public returns, virtual portfolio values and ranks. They are not notified or automatically followed on X. Following does not change scores or mint access. No competitor stocks or weights are sent by the server before Final.
10Claim your mint allocation
Eligible winners submit an EVM wallet to receive their GTD or FCFS mint access. This records the address for the Stray Society allowlist; it does not mint an NFT or send a payment. Claiming needs no transaction, signature or token approval. Only the optional wallet ticket asks for a free signature. Update your saved wallet if needed.
11Prices and finalization
Start price: the first regular-session trade after Monday's opening bell. Finish price: the last regular-session trade before Friday's closing bell. Both come from the same market-data feed for every racer and can differ slightly from the exchanges' official auction prices. Live prices refresh about once a minute and can be delayed. A halted stock keeps its last traded price. Prices are split-adjusted; cash dividends are excluded. Results stay in Finalizing until every finish price is verified.
12Wallet ticket and boost (optional)
Verify your saved wallet with a free signature (no transaction or approval). The score (0β1000) uses Ethereum wallet age (250), tracked holdings (200), Ethos reputation (200), networks used (150, maximum at 10 active networks), transactions sent (150) and ENS (50). We scan 63 EVM networks: native balances on available networks, plus major stablecoins/WETH on ten core networks. This excludes untracked tokens and NFTs. Unavailable networks are unknown; measured holdings are a lower bound. Eleven categories run from STRAY (+0%) to LEGEND (+2%) in +0.2% steps; one more is hidden. Boosted return = (1 + basket return) Γ (1 + boost) β 1. Changing your saved wallet before the entry deadline clears the ticket: verify the new address. At the deadline the race boost locks. A later fulfillment-wallet change cannot transfer or change that boost. Tickets start private; you choose whether the category and share page become public. The boost always shows on the leaderboard. Wallet addresses and exact balances remain private. One wallet per account.
